Weekend Jaunts

August 2, 2011

A little trip to the Royal National Park, about an hours drive south of Sydney, weather was good so we packed up a picnic and headed off.

Found us a beach and some rocks to set up camp and enjoyed a nice sarnie (don’t forget the Helmans!) and soaked up some rays.

We headed up the cliff to see if we could spot any whales as they migrate up the coast. Alas, none swam by but it did feel rather more Mediterranean coast than the Tasman sea!

I’m really enjoying this Aussie winter, the skies are blue and the sun is shining (lets not mention those 5 days of torrential rain the other week) I almost prefer it to the hot and humid summer. I hope it stays for a while.
